LCU has made switching your accounts fast and convenient. We have included all the letters and forms you will need to make this transition as easy as possible.

Three Simple Steps to Switch

  1. Open an account. You may do this by visiting any of our seven branch locations or online at
  2. Download and complete the Direct Deposit Change and Automatic Payment Change Forms. Mail the necessary forms to the appropriate company or organization currently automatically depositing or taking payments from your existing account. Print the checklist to mark your progress. Once this step is completed and all automatic transfers have stopped…
  3. Close your account at your previous financial institution. Verify that all checks, card transactions, and scheduled bill payments have cleared your old checking account. Leave a small amount in your old checking account as this process may take up to two weeks. Send the Close Existing Account Authorization to your previous institution. The balance will be sent to your new LCU account.

Please note that some payees/vendors will not permit a 3rd party to request changes to an account. In this case you may need to talk directly to that payee/vendor.
